As the convention states: “Everyone is a fan of something,” which means at MEGACON Orlando, your ultimate fan experience is well within reach.

A vast number of attractions await members of each fictional fandom, from celebrity Q-and-A sessions and workshops to gaming arenas and fan meetups.

Anime fans can meet their favorite voice actors, listen to panels, and dine at a maid café inspired by the ones in Japan. They can also game, enjoy silent disco, look at anime-themed cars, and attend an anime cosplay meetup.

Comic lovers can meet legendary creators, enjoy art at Artist Alley, watch a sketch duel, listen to panels, attend workshops, have their portfolios reviewed, or commission artwork from a professional.

Cosplaying has never been more fun than at MEGACON. Meet other cosplayers and compete in cosplay competitions. There’s even a kids’ cosplay contest. Cosplay costumes take a lot of time to build, and if you’re proud of yours, walk the red cosplay carpet! MEGACON offers a variety of events for cosplayers, including panels, workshops, meetups, and photoshoots.

The gaming arena comes complete with voice actor meet and greets, panels, tabletop gaming, virtual reality experiences, a retro arcade, and gaming cosplay meetups. New this year is wargaming where guests can join in on games of Warhammer.

Horror fanatics won’t be left out of the fun either. Meet your favorite horror celebrities, attend panels, enjoy Phantasmagoria, experience demos from Vamp Makeup School, find your way out of the Haunted Hints escape room, and so much more.

Sci-fi and fantasy attractions include exciting celebrity meet and greets, epic panels, a LEGO museum, Sci-Fi & Fantasy community groups, and a brand-new Book Nook where you can enjoy new and exciting literary discoveries.

For those who want more fun after the sun goes down, MEGACON is also hosting a variety of “after hours” attractions. This year, MEGACON Orlando has rented out the entire Universal Islands of Adventure and select areas of Universal Studios Florida so you can have exclusive access to the incredible rides and attractions inspired by popular fandoms like Harry Potter and Jurassic Park. The Exclusive After-Hours Event at Universal Orlando Resort will be held Friday, Feb. 7 from 5:00 p.m. until midnight.

MEGACON Orlando is also a great place to make friends with like-minded individuals, which is why the event offers community attractions. Make tons of new friends in the community zone’s sci-fi groups, horror groups, and anime groups.

If you’re attending MEGACON and are bringing your little ones along, they don’t have to miss out on the fun. Family attractions include the interactive kids’ zone, padawan training, cartoon academy, a Harry Potter sorting ceremony, superhero shield and mask making, and a princess story time.
