ORLANDO (September 14, 2006) - Seems like when there is an industry award to be given, Rosen Centre continues to stay top of mind. Most recently, subscribers to the industry-leading Corporate & Incentive Travel awarded the “2006 Award of Excellence” by selecting Rosen Centre as one that best serves its meeting and incentive needs based on service, quality of food and beverage, meeting space and accommodations.

“No matter how many times we’re recognized, I can honestly say each time is equally rewarding and important,” says Todd Frappier, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This particular award demonstrates our staff’s continued focus to provide the best service and accommodations. We know our customers have many options when planning their events and we’re honored to be selected as one that stands out among the rest.”

The award-winning property has been continuously recognized by the industry including the Meeting & Convention Gold Key and Gold Platter Awards, the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings, the Inner Circle Award from Association Meetings, the Merit & Distinction Award from Medical Meetings and the Paragon Award from Corporate Meetings & Incentives.

By late 2006, Rosen Centre will complete a multi-million dollar renovation that spans the hotel’s 106,000 square feet, including its 35,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Contemporary materials and complementary furnishings will transform ballrooms, salons and pre-function space into a fresh, inviting environment designed for ultimate comfort and productivity.

Beginning at the four separate registration desks and continuing throughout the meeting space, granite countertops, fashionable light fixtures, plush woven carpeting and other enhancements will add new sparkle. From the ballroom and pre-function space to registration and alcove areas, the new color scheme will soothe with tones of gold and rust, then surprise with splashes of teal, wine and blue. Designers are going for the “wow” with elegant Axminster carpeting from Tai Ping that incorporates ovals, scrolls and graceful spirals, as well as eye-catching medallions and border designs. Contemporary window treatments will be softened with sheers to create a warm effect.

Just minutes away from the Orlando International Airport and the area’s most popular theme parks and attractions, Rosen Centre offers 106,000 square feet of sophisticated meeting space, which includes a 35,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Rising 24 stories, Rosen Centre features 1,334 deluxe guest rooms. Amenities include a full-service concierge desk, high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms, off-site airline check-in and a TSA approved remote skycap service that allows guests to receive their airline boarding passes and check their luggage directly from the hotel. Guests of Rosen Centre enjoy six restaurants and lounges, as well as the Body & Sol Spa, a newly renovated fitness center featuring state-of-the-art equipment, a heated tropical pool and lighted tennis courts.

Meeting planners have access to Rosen’s Shingle Creek Golf Course, named one of the “Top 40 New Courses” by Golfweek magazine. The par 72, David Harman-designed championship course is just minutes from the hotel. Planners can arrange tournaments on the course and corporate group programs with The Brad Brewer Golf Academy.
